Bamberg County Schools District is pleased to welcome Mrs. Denise Robinson-Crosby as our new district-wide Truancy Officer.  Mrs. Crosby is a resident of Bamberg, SC and an alumnus of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. She is the wife of Coach Kevin Crosby. They have two children, Kevin Jr. and Kaitlyn, who are also alumni of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. She is also a grandmother to Otto Crosby.

Mrs. Crosby is a graduate of Voorhees College. She has been a special education teacher for 18 years. After many years in the classroom, she is excited to return home and transfer her experiences as a teacher to be the district truancy officer.  Students’ academic success begins with regular attendance.

The district is pleased to announce Mr. Jra’Quarie Washington as our new district-wide Social Worker. Mr. Washington is a native of Denmark, SC and proud alumni of Denmark-Olar High School. He earned his B.S. in Social Work from South Carolina State University in May of 2017. Mr. Washington is highly skilled in case management, to include assisting students individually and in groups to promote positive social and emotional behaviors, and assists individuals and families in gaining access to various support services and community resources. Mr. Washington’s platform for the 22-23 school year is enhancing positive social and emotional behaviors of the students by providing empowerment through education, parent engagement, and community resources.

Bamberg County School District would like to introduce Mr. Jordan D. Smith as principal of Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. Mr. Smith is a native of Hampton, South Carolina, but now resides in Orangeburg with his wife and their two sons.

     Jordan Smith attended Hampton School District One through tenth grade and finished his high school studies at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Education from Grand Canyon University, and commissioned as an Army officer through Palmetto Military Academy.

      He began his professional career in education as the band director for Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School and served for six years. During this time, the band program grew rapidly and earned several state awards. Smith then served four years as the assistant principal at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, and one year as the assistant principal at Richard Carroll Elementary School.

     Mr. Smith understands the importance and power of the team and believes success in education begins with a strong partnership between home and school.

Bamberg County School District would like to introduce Mrs. Patricia Moutrie-Goldsmith as principal of Denmark-Olar Middle School.  Mrs.  Moultrie-Goldsmith is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration from The University of South Carolina. In addition, she has earned an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Clemson University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Education System Improvement Science from Clemson University.

Mrs. Moultrie-Goldsmith has 26 years’ experience in the education field to include a middle and high school English teacher, middle and high school assistant principal, an alternative school program director, a charter school K-8 assistant director, a high school principal and a district level leader.

 
Her philosophy of education evolves with each experience and her goal is to create a culture of love and support with an understanding that administrators are an extension of the ministry of teaching.

Mrs. Moultrie-Goldsmith along with her husband, Vincent, reside in the Orangeburg community and are the proud parents of three young men, Xzavier,  Xachary and Xion. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Moultrie-Goldsmith!

Bamberg County School District would like to introduce and welcome Mr. Dennis Ulmer as Assistant Superintendent.

Mr. Ulmer, is starting his twenty third year in public education.  That journey began in Bamberg County at Richard Carroll Primary School as a special education teacher and coach and has led to his current position as assistant superintendent of the new consolidated Bamberg County School District.

Mr. Ulmer graduated from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School in 1995 and then attended Presbyterian College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.  During his time at PC, he also had the opportunity to play football for the Blue Hose.  During his fifteen years as a teacher, he taught students at all levels and also coached football and softball.

After earning a Master’s in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2014, Mr. Ulmer was hired as assistant principal for the 2015 school year and later served as principal at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School from 2017-2022. 

Mr. Ulmer is married to Lee Ulmer and is the proud father of five children.  He enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and all things outdoors.
